Rev. Dr. Cecelia Williams Bryant Bio.....

"Rev. C" is a Spiritual Director, Missionary and Women’s Empowerment Leader with a Global Vision. She has responded to the Jeremiah Mandate for “the healing of the nations."

Her visionary Leadership has heightened the awareness and response of the African and Diasporic church to Health, Ecological wellness, development, cultural and peace issues. "Rev. C" is founder of the A.M.E. Church in the Ivory Coast and co-founder with her husband, Senior Bishop John Richard Bryant, of the A.M.E. Church in India.

"Rev. C’s" devotion to the uplift of women covers a field that includes New England, Maryland, Texas, the U.S. West Coast, the Caribbean and South America, West, Central and Southern Africa, Western Europe, Asia, Australia, Bermuda and Canada.

She has been an advocate and teacher of Prevailing Prayer. A “worldly” mystic who seeks to incarnate the Beatitudes. "Rev. C’s" heart has been broken for the poor and suffering. She is an author, an intercessor and a lover of children worldwide. She is founder of primary schools in Cambridge, Massachusetts, Dallas, Texas, Grand Bassa, Liberia and an orphanage in Mohotlong Lesotho. An Early Childhood Development Center in Seattle Washington has been named in her honor. She was also awarded THE LEADERSHIP IN SERVICE AWARD by President BARAK OBAMA.

With undeniable faith in the Healing Power of God, "Rev. C" has mobilized health professionals (over 200) to serve in Haiti, the Ivory Coast, Zambia, India, Rwanda and the Kingdom of Lesotho. She has also equipped and mentored Youth for Missions in Alaska, Jamaica and the Dominican Republic and Health Missions to India and Rwanda.

Her entire house hold gives service to the uplift of the Kingdom of God. Her husband of over 50 years, Rt. Rev. John R. Bryant was the Senior Bishop of the A.M.E. Church. Their son, Dr. Jamal Harrison Bryant the founder and pastor of Empowerment Temple A.M.E. Church, Baltimore, Maryland is currently serving as the Pastor of New Birth in Lithonia, Georgia and a member of St. Phillips A.M.E. Church Pastored by Dr. William Watley.  In January Rev. Dr. Jamal will be leading a cohort at Payne Seminary on GROWING THE LOCAL CHURCH. Dr. Thema Bryant Davis Ph.D., the youngest child, is Professor of Psychology at Pepperdine University. She is CoHost of a Radio Talk Show in Los Angeles. She has served as United Nations Representative for The American Psychological Association, President of Association of Women Psychologists and Mental Health Consultant for CNN, Dr. Phil, OWN and OXYGEN. She is on the Ministerial Staff of FAME Los Angeles, Pastored by Dr. Edgar Boyd.  Episcopal Supervisor Bryant is a member of Bethel A.M.E. Church Baltimore where the Bryant Team served for 13 Years, Dr. Patrick and Rev. Sheri Clayborn are the Pastoral Leaders.  Bishop Bryant maintains his membership at Empowerment Temple pastored by Dr. GJ. Barnes and supports both Ministries.

*Birth of Lexington Ace Wilson-Wood Child of Columnist for the AME Church Christian Recorder

Lexington Ace Wilson-Woods was born on October 8, 2020 at 9:32 am to Lauren Wilson and Will Woods.  Lexington is 6 pounds, 10 ounces, 19 inches long. Lauren serves as a columnist for the Christian Recorder and her father the Reverend Melvin Wilson is the pastor of St. Matthew AME Church in Orange, New Jersey.

Wedding of Ms. Annjeanette Tyson, Former Connectional YPD Officer and Daughter of Late Connectional Officer and Mr. Jeferni Cameron

On Sunday, October 11, 2020, Ms. Annjeanette Tyson and Mr. Jeferni Cameron were married at Christian Chapel Temple of Faith CME Church in Dallas, Texas. Both are licentiates in the North Texas Annual Conference and serve on the staff of Greater Garth AME Church, Dallas. Additionally, Ms. Tyson is the former Connectional First Vice President of the YPD. 
The bride's father, the late Presiding Elder Albert D. Tyson III served as Presiding Elder of the North District of the Chicago Annual Conference and President of the Connectional Presiding Elders Council. Her mother Mrs. Robin Holmes Tyson serves as the 4th District Ambassador to India. Her aunt the Reverend Margaret V. L. Tyson is the pastor of Allen Chapel, Portsmouth, Ohio, and Quinn Chapel, Ironton, Ohio.
The wedding was officiated by Bishop David R. Daniels, Presiding Prelate of the 15th District, and Rev. Dr. Challis Bradford, pastor of Greater Garth, Dallas.

Wedding of The Reverend Chaplain (First Lieutenant) Melissa W. George, USAF and Presiding Elder William R. T. Hale

The Reverend Chaplain (First Lieutenant) Melissa W. George, USAF and Presiding Elder William R. T. Hale were married on October 10, 2020, in Richmond, Kentucky in a ceremony officiated by Reverend Stephanie Raglin and Reverend Joshua Hale. Reverend William R. T. Hale is the Presiding Elder of the Commonwealth District of the Kentucky Annual Conference and pastor of St. Paul, Versailles, Kentucky. Reverend George is an active duty chaplain in the United States Air Force and her church is Embry Chapel, Elizabethtown, Kentucky.

Kentucky Pastor-The Reverend Stephanie M. Raglin Welcomed as a New Trustee of Asbury Theological Seminary 

The Reverend Stephanie M. Raglin, the proud pastor of Embry Chapel A.M.E. Church in Elizabethtown, Kentucky has been selected to serve on the Board of Trustees of Asbury Theological Seminary, Wilmore, Kentucky.
Reverend Raglin holds a M.A. Degree in Christian Leadership (2010) and M.Div. (2017) from Asbury Seminary and is currently pursuing a Doctor of Ministry from Asbury Theological Seminary. She currently serves as president of the Thirteenth Episcopal District Women in Ministry (WIM) and she is a member of the Kentucky Conference Board of Examiners.

Reverend Raglin is the Director of Programs for the Hope Center Recovery Program for Women in Lexington, Kentucky and the Hope Center for Men and Women in the Division of Corrections of the Fayette County Detention Center. She is a Licensed Clinical Alcohol and Drug Counselor in the Commonwealth of Kentucky.  She also holds membership with the Bluegrass Re-Entry Council, Women Leading Kentucky Organization and Women’s Coalition on Substance Abuse. She was recently named to the National Association of Professional Women.
Reverend Raglin is happily married to Mark A. Raglin and is the mother of three, Melanie and twins, Maya and Mykal. Her favorite motto is “Enjoy The Journey”. Her favorite scripture is Psalms 51.10 “Create in me a clean heart “O” God and renew a right spirit in me.” To God Be the Glory!
